Why Online Reviews Matter to Us.


Over the past ten years, Colour My Travel has grown from a small startup into an award-winning excursions organiser, offering guests innovative experiences across the Maltese Islands. From our Free Walking Tours in Valletta to private adventures in Gozo and the Three Cities, every tour we run is built on one thing: the desire to create memorable, meaningful experiences.


But how do we know if we're getting it right? Our guests tell us. In just the first quarter of 2026, we received close to 500 reviews across five different platforms, written in 15 different languages. That kind of reach still amazes us.

Reviews Are More Than Ratings


Every review left on Google, Tripadvisor, GetYourGuide or any other platform is a window into our guests' experience. We're humbled that nearly 89% of our reviews this quarter carried a perfect five-star score, but the words that accompany them are what truly help us grow. When we look at what guests write about most, our team stands out above everything else. Comments about individual guides and tour quality account for over 60% of all feedback, carrying a positive sentiment of close to 98%. Our people are our greatest asset, and it's incredibly rewarding to see that confirmed in our guests' own words.


Equally, when something falls short, we want to hear about it. Constructive feedback has driven real changes in how we design and deliver our experiences.


Why Responding Matters Just as Much


We've always believed that reading reviews is only half the job. When a guest takes the time to share their experience, they deserve a thoughtful, personal reply, not a copy-paste template. Research consistently shows that potential visitors pay close attention to how businesses respond to feedback. Our online reputation isn't just a reflection of past performance; it actively shapes future bookings and our visibility on modern search and AI-driven discovery platforms.


Looking Ahead with Polzify

Managing reviews across multiple platforms while running day-to-day operations is no easy feat. That's why we've been collaborating with Polzify, a spin-out from SeyTravel Ltd. The data-driven culture at SeyTravel, shaped largely by the Colour My Travel operation and other major projects in the Cultural Heritage sector, gave rise to the idea of Polzify as a tool and service to be embraced by all stakeholders in the tourism industry.


As a collaborator on their PARG (Persona Adaptive Reply Generator) project, we've provided hands-on input from our operations, helping shape AI-driven tools built with real-world needs in mind. We're excited to start using the technology coming out of this partnership, from review insights that help us spot trends to a reply assistant that helps us craft personalised responses more efficiently. These tools don't replace the human touch; they support it, letting us focus on what we do best, creating unforgettable experiences.
