Yes, we recommend booking ahead. Every tour has its own page with the days and times it runs, and you can book your place there in a couple of minutes. Places are limited and our most popular tours fill up quickly in the busier months, so booking early is the safest way to get the date you want.

Everything you might want to know before you join us in Malta. If your question isn't answered here, just get in touch and we'll be glad to help.
Booking
-
Do I need to book in advance?
-
Is the free walking tour really free?
It is. There is no fixed price for our Valletta Free Walking Tour, which we have been running since 2013. At the end of the tour you simply tip your guide whatever you feel the experience was worth. We do ask that you reserve a place in advance so we know how many people to expect.
-
Can I cancel or change my booking?
Yes. Cancel up to 24 hours before your tour starts (local time) and you'll receive a full refund. If you need to move to another date, or you're cancelling closer to the start time, get in touch with us and we'll do our best to help.
-
Can you organise a private tour for my group?
We can. Alongside our scheduled tours we run private tours for families, groups of friends and travellers who'd rather have a guide to themselves, as well as team-building days for companies. Pick the tour you're interested in and send us a quote request, and we'll come back to you with dates and a price.

Where do the tours start?
Each tour has its own meeting point, and you'll find it on that tour's page along with a link that opens it directly in Google Maps. Our Valletta tours generally meet outside the New Parliament Building on Republic Street. Please aim to arrive about ten minutes before the start time so we can set off promptly.
-
What language are the tours in?
Our scheduled tours are guided in English. For private tours we can often arrange other languages depending on guide availability, so please ask when you send your quote request.
-
How long does a tour last?
It depends on the tour. Our free Valletta walking tour runs for about an hour and a half, while the longer themed and full-day tours run considerably longer. The exact duration is listed at the top of every tour page.
-
What should I bring?
Comfortable walking shoes above all. Malta's historic streets are paved with limestone and include gentle hills and steps. In summer, bring a hat, sunscreen and a bottle of water, as the days are long and can get very warm. Between November and March a light jacket is worth having, as the coastal wind can make Valletta feel chilly.
-
Are your tours suitable for children?
Children are welcome on our tours when accompanied by an adult. We also run a dedicated set of educational tours built around the school curriculum, covering the building of Valletta, the Great Siege and the Second World War.
