A really enjoyable food tour of Valletta

A really enjoyable food tour of Valletta. Matthew was a knowledgeable and friendly guide who shared some great local spots we wouldn't have found on our own. We tasted pastizzi, ftajjar, kwarezimal, traditional Maltese coffee, and chocolate with flavours infused with notable Maltese products. We finished the tour with a variety of dishes at a restaurant, including arancini, timpana, and imqaret. Good variety and generous portions; the tastings were easily enough to replace both breakfast and lunch. Recommended!

Great way to see Valletta

Valletta is such an amazing city and has played such a pivitol role in European history. This was all explained to us in great detail and very clearly by our guide Matthew, as we walked around Valletta taking in all the key buildings, streets and monuments. We started on the walls so we could get a perspective of the city and it's Grand Harbour to set the context for the rest of the tour. The tour was so well contructed, taking us through the last 460 ish years of Malta's history in chronological order via the buildings and monuments. Matthew was so knowledgeable and paced the tour just right. We had a 20 min comfort break in the middle as well which was needed. Overall excellent tour and good value for money. Highly recommend.

Fascinating history tour

I cannot recommend this tour enough. James, our guide was amazingly knowledgeable and being a history teacher by profession was the perfect person to lead the tour. Mdina is a living, working city and not a museum with interpretation boards, so having a guide makes the history so much more accessible. Do not miss this tour if you are visiting Rabat and Mdina!

A really great tour. Matthew was very knowledgable and interesting to listen to. It is clear he has a passion for his home town and this came through. The tour was well paced and full of interesting sites. The tour immerses you in history all the way from the Great Siege to WW2. A thoroughly enjoyable tour and one I would recommend.

Ghost tour Valletta

I truly recommend the ghost tour in Valletta. It was a very interesting experience which included a 2 hour walk filled with history and various type of stories. The tour leader is an extremely nice and approachable gentleman - he also has a great knowledge of history and with his speech is able to take you back in time. I had a lovely evening and I am surely going to attend more ghost tours in Birgu as well as Mdina :) 10/10

Birgu Ghost Tour - Not to be missed!

The Birgu Ghost tour, lead by Carmel Micallef was a very interesting, and enjoyable experience. Mr Micallef explained every step in a simple and insightful manner that allowed us all to understand and appreciate the different sections of the tour. It was quite an extensive tour with an exciting story at every corner. The guide kindly answered all sorts of questions he was asked and made sure that all those participating in the tour were following the various topics discussed along the way. Truly an experience which I recommend to both tourists and locals. I went on the tour in March (evening). I would suggest a light jacket as it tends to get chilly...and its not just because of the Ghosts :)

Mdina halloween ghost tour

Yesterday me and my partner went to Mdina Halloween Ghost tour. It was a real pleasure listening to Carmel encountering ghost and historic stories very well explained with a touch of shiver. It was our first experience and it was our dream as we both share the passion of ghost and knights stories. We will be visting Birgu and Valletta ghost tours for sure. Thankyou Carmel and keep it up!
